Growth design at Stripe
Stripe provides financial infrastructure for the internet, helping millions of companies run businesses online.
I joined Stripe in 2024 as a designer focused on stripe.com and growth. Since then, I've leveled up to Staff designer. I'm still here today. Working at Stripe continues to be an absolute priviledge. Since this one is ongoing, I'll keep it brief. Below is an overview of what I do, and some kind words from the people I do it with.
What I focus on
My work centers on the surfaces where people become Stripe users: registration, sign-in, contact sales, and, broadly, anywhere numerous users are evaluating whether or not to convert. Recently, that has grown to include Stripe's AI-powered experiences, from live chat on stripe.com to LLM-driven personalization.
Day to day, that means designing and shipping new projects, iterating on experiments, building code-based prototypes, and partnering with product, engineering, marketing, machine learning, and leadership to turn ambiguous ideas into shipped experiences.
Beyond project work, I mentor designers through Stripe's formal mentorship program and help scale AI and code-based prototyping workflows across the design org.

I am consistently amazed by Mike's ability to juggle multiple projects and meet all deadlines while still maintaining a high bar.

This prototype was instrumental in gaining leadership approval, transforming initial confusion into understanding and acceptance.
